A Material Safety Data Sheet isn't always a necessity, but it is often a good idea to have one on file. It is a requirement if you are transporting bulk product by road or rail, for instance if you manufacture at one site and ship to another for filling. It is also a very good idea if you are shipping goods through ports.

 

What You Need To Provide

- Name of the product e.g., "Marine Perfume"

- Description of the appearance of the product e.g., white  liquid

- The formulation, or the MSDS sheets for the individual ingredients indicating which ones are used at greater than 1%.

- The pack copy, or the instructions for use and any warnings that are going to appear on the pack.
